One of the most important aspects of any relationship is trust.

In sales, it is vital that trust on both sides is high.

So why do so many salespeople try so hard to “sell”?

Forget “Selling”! Focus on the relationship at hand and and ALL of the potential it can yield.

Be genuinely interested in the client, and care about serving them well. The increase in numbers will simply be a bi-product of the outstanding relationship.

Know what it is that you bring to the table. Be confident in that and yet humble and respectful at the same time.

I’ve practiced this simple way of thinking for many years now, and it has brought infinite personal joy to me and real results increasing business.

And here’s the kicker. You’ll only be doing business with people you love doing business with. People with whom you share a mutual benefit both in business and often personally. Trust me, there’s plenty of great clients out there.

Be honest with yourself and with all those you do business with.

Bring real value to the table.

Do these things and you will personally be happier and your business will be healthier.
